Summary of the United Kingdom Visit

Last Wednesday marked the conclusion of my first visit to the #UnitedKingdom: seven memorable days filled with inspiring encounters and discoveries in the heart of #London, a magnificent city steeped in history, culture, and tradition.

➡️ On November 6, I had the privilege of visiting the #MaisonduQuébec, where I met Mrs. Line Rivard, Québec’s Delegate General in London. I then visited the #CanadaHouse, where I had the honor of meeting the Honorable Ralph Goodale, Canada’s High Commissioner to London. These institutions symbolize our international presence and strengthen the precious ties between our nations.

➡️ On November 7, I had the immense honor of meeting His Majesty King Charles III at #BuckinghamPalace. It was a moment of sharing and dialogue about my journey, our shared values concerning environmental protection, and reconciliation, including the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between the British Crown and the Mi'gmaq, which will mark its 300th anniversary next year.

➡️ On November 10, I attended #RemembranceSunday from one of the balconies of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office building to honor the sacrifices of our ancestors for peace.

➡️ On November 11, during the #RemembranceDay ceremony at #BrookwoodCemetery, in tribute to fallen soldiers, I laid a wreath at the cenotaph on behalf of the Canadian people. As part of this ceremony, we also laid four wreaths on the graves of Québec soldiers. We will remember them.

I return from this journey rejuvenated, filled with inspiration, and deeply grateful for all the enriching encounters that marked this trip. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who welcomed me.
