Last night, I had the great pleasure of attending a reception marking the 80th anniversary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Since its founding in 1944, this organization—the only United Nations agency headquartered in Quebec since 1947—has played a key role in ensuring the safety and sustainability of civil aviation. It also fosters collaboration and innovation among 193 countries.
With its visionary approach and leadership, ICAO remains a pivotal force in shaping the future of global air transport.
Here’s to ICAO continuing to thrive here in Quebec for at least another 80 years!
