We had the great pleasure today of welcoming Miss Lesly Joyce Nkuindja to the Office, accompanied by her family and her Master's supervisor.
Miss Nkuindja was unable to attend the Medal of the National Capital Award Ceremony, during which she received the Lieutenant Governor's Medal in the Youth category.
Therefore, we created this special occasion to commemorate this moment in her journey as an engaged citizen!
Here is the citation that was read during the ceremony:
"Lesly Joyce designed and founded the program 'Balancing with Joy' to motivate students from different university programs to maintain healthy lifestyle habits. At the Saint-Roch YMCA, she acts as a dance instructor and mentor to promote the integration of young immigrants and celebrate cultural diversity. Through her various initiatives, her commitment positively impacts the Afro-Québécois community."
