The week was busy with three days spent at the Assembly of Chiefs of the AFN (Assembly of First Nations) at the Palais des Congrès in Montreal.
The Assembly was a great opportunity to meet many Chiefs and gather their opinions on the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec's medal programs.
One of the highlights was the tribute to Lieutenant-General Paul, who retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 36 years of service.
I was also particularly grateful to be recognized as an Indigenous Woman Leader during the Banquet themed ‘Builders of our Nations.’
